Why I LOVE Birthdays!

In many ways, I’m a typical Leo.  However, I don’t like to necessarily be the center of attention.  You would think that if you make a big deal out of birthdays and truly LOVE them then you would like to be the center of attention.  That’s simply not true for me.  Celebrating my birthday means so much to me for many reasons.

Personally, I LOVE birthdays because I love to celebrate LIFE.  Even in the middle of a pandemic, there is so much in my life to be thankful for.  I choose to focus on the good and the fact that I’m alive.  

I also love birthdays because it’s a great opportunity to reconnect with loved ones that you might not talk to regularly.  I’ve noticed that so many people are craving connection right now more than ever.  A simple act of calling someone can go a long way.  Receiving calls, text messages, cards in the mail, Facebook messages, Instagram DMs, and emails all day on my birthday bring me SO MUCH JOY!!!!

Birthdays are a great time to reflect on my life and refocus on what I want for the next year.  Living a fast pace life doesn’t allow for much time for reflection so birthdays and the new year are typically the time that I take for myself to do this exercise. 

SO today on my actual birthday, I’m celebrating BIG!  And I will continue to celebrate all week long AND all month long.  Cheers to enjoying this life and connecting with your loved ones!
