Three Practical Ways To Dress For The Holidays
We are in full holiday swing! Maybe because we are holding onto some hope for a little normalcy, or maybe because IT IS OCTOBER! Can you believe it is already almost 2021?? So, in light of kicking off the holiday spirit. I’m going to dive into some ideas on how to be practical with your fashion this season:
Combine What You Have - I talk often about using what you have and shopping smart . Another way to do this is by combining things to create a new and transitional look. Building your wardrobe in a smart way is so helpful, especially right now. Think of one piece you might need to add in - a new shoe, a dress, a top. Otherwise, stick to what you have and re-work it in a new way.
Think Outside The Box - Especially when it comes to Halloween, don’t be afraid to think outside the box! Sure you might not have a nurses costume (unless you work in a hospital) but you probably do have leather leggings and a black top. Curl your hair and throw on a red shoe, Sandy from Grease never looked so good!
Don’t Forget Basics - Sick of me talking about basics yet?? Because I will NEVER be sick of working them into wardrobes! Basics go such a long way, especially in transitional seasons and during the holidays. Blazers, a great jean, classic button downs, all of these are probably items in your closet and great ones to rework into new looks time and time again. BONUS - Basics almost always photograph well, for holiday photos and events (however those may look for you this year).
So take a moment and have a little fun shopping in your own closet this holiday season!
with LOVE and grace,
