How to make Editorial Styling work for you!

Editorial styling is by far one of my favorite places to pull inspiration. I love flipping through magazines and taking ideas from looks on each page. Here are three ideas on how to make the style work for you:

  1. Take Editorial As Inspiration - I oftentimes hear people say they couldn’t pull off editorial styling in everyday life. Which is fine! Don’t try and pull it off. Use it as inspiration for the looks you already wear.

  2. Use One Element To Build An Outfit - Just use one piece of an editorial look for your inspiration. A great example of this is seeing a full neon look with a large hat and big pony (like the one above). Instead of doing low rise pants and so many pops of color, do a neon sweater or shirt and a pair of black jeans.

  3. Think Special Event - Special events are a great time to try out your editorial inspiration looks. Don’t be afraid to reach out of your comfort zone!
