FINDING FALL - TRENDS OF 2021
As hot as it might be out there… Fall is on it’s way! Not only does this mean we get to take out our layered looks, but it also means we get to “fall” back into more routine schedules. And while I LOVE a routine, I am going to encourage myself, and you all, to break up those fashion routines by taking a peek into the Fall Trends of 2021. As most of you know, I’m not always a fan of trends BUT I do think it’s important to pay attention to them so we can always be “current.” Also, please only incorporate this season’s trends that work for you and feel free to not incorporate any. As always, have FUN exploring and refining your own individual style as we learn about the trends each season.
Here are some of my top Fall Trends:
· Saturated Shades - Highly saturated colors are coming our way, and I’m very here for it! Think bright, think bold, think happy colors!!
· Colored Leather Coats - You might have seen my latest posts where I took my mom's green 80’s leather jacket and styled it to a fresh look! This is such a fun way to take old pieces and make them new, and incorporate the colored leather trend into your Fall wardrobe!
· Cutouts - When I heard cutouts were coming back my initial thought was “for the kids? Okay…” Here is the thing, we don’t have to do all the trends full force, but adding simple cut outs to some of your items can be a pretty, and even sophisticated, way to elevate your look!
· Sweater Vests - A great layering look! Sweater vest are coming back and I can’t wait for us to get into this one!
· Comfort Zone - Comfy lounge clothes seem to be a consistent go-to clothing option for so many since Covid hit. While it’s not really a type of attire I want to encourage all my clients to live in, I do realize there is a time and place for it. AND if I’m going to be lounging at home I want to still look sharp.
· Animal prints 2.0 - We’ve been here before, and we will go here again. Animal prints are back! Are you scared to tread those waters? Like I always say, start small. Make it a simple added accessory. And then, when you feel comfortable, branch out to a larger piece of clothing!
· Puffer Coats - Puffer coats are a great coat to have in your wardrobe . Don’t be scared to wear one with a more elevated look or add a belt to make it your own.
· Lime Green - I personally LOVE green! So this one for me isn’t too far out of scope. But, lime green is coming in HOT this fall, so if you are someone who shys away from colors try to wear it in a smaller way. Do a pump, or a clutch. Even a simple belt!
I challenge you to purchase one new thing this Fall that you might love but be a little nervous to wear. It’s SO fun to see how we evolve over the years within our own individual style. Incorporating a few trends along the way is part of the fun!
