TRAVEL SHOPPING MADE EASY
This summer is bound to look a little different than the last. We are finally getting to a place where things are opening back up, people are making plans, and perhaps you even have a trip or two in your future!
For those of you who are, here are My TOP 10 Travel Shopping Tips to keep in mind while out and about prepping for your upcoming adventures:
TOTE/BEACH BAG - The trick with totes and beach bags is finding something that can be your carry on but also your beach/pool bag. Having a multi purpose bag is perfect for packing light and with purpose.
HAT - Hats are always great for having at the beach, though can take up space and are not the easiest to travel with. You can pack your hat in your suitcase by placing in the middle first and then packing items all around and in the middle to support the shape. The key tip is to be sure to pull out your hat as soon as you get to your destination.
SNEAKERS - We are finally lucky with this one! Sneakers are hotter than ever in the fashion world, so don’t be scared to rock them with your vacation looks. TIP: Be sure to pick out a sneaker that is BOTH fashionable and comfortable.
VERSATILE DRESS - Looking for a dress that can work from day to night is perfect for packing less and packing with purpose. This also helps if you need to wear a dress multiple times and can style a few different ways to ensure you don’t overpack.
CROSSBODY OR BELT BAG - Love this hack for versatility and for an easy way to take essentials around when you don’t need your full purse. Not to mention, it’s nice to travel lightly while out on your travel adventures.
COOL CLOTHES - This is all about breathable looks (shorts, dress, etc. whatever you are comfortable in). Keep it cool, especially when you are heading to a tropical location! You can always layer but it is harder to strip down.
SUNNIES - Don’t forget your sunnies!!
SANDALS - Sandals are easy to pack and helpful for tying a look together! Perfect for easy access and when you just need to walk around the resort or hotel. I typically like to pack something that can work for the beach/pool but also dresses enough to wear with a sundress.
SUNSCREEN - This is a MUST and something I think we often times overlook. It is okay to purchase sunscreen when you are out and about, but you never know what you might get. Take the space and time to pack what you know works best for you (and don’t forget the face & lip sunscreen).
SWIM ATTIRE - This is where I say go a little crazy! Not too crazy of course… But swim wear doesn’t take up too much space, can be used as parts of your overall look, and is great for layering. Also, think past just your swimsuit...coverup, hat, sandals, bag, jewelry, etc. So when it comes to swim attire, go for it!
