Fashion For Good

Amidst this global pandemic, I’m committed to continuing my work as a wardrobe consultant to serve YOU.  As most of you know, my mission is to help women feel CONFIDENT through their wardrobe. I love to share daily fashion inspiration and will continue to do so even through this uncertain time.  If nothing else, I hope the fashion I share can bring you JOY and maybe escape a bit from everything.  However, it’s not lost on me that our healthcare workers are out there on the front lines everyday fighting this war for us.   SO many people are modifying their production lines to make mask and shields for these healthcare workers.  Many Americans are stepping up in various ways to serve others.  This is how Americans rally in crises.  This is what we do.

In an effort to continue to spread LOVE, I wanted to highlight some brands in the fashion industry stepping up for the greater good of human kind:

Gal Meets Glam- They are donating 100% of profits from their new Little Gal Capsule Collection (launching tomorrow) to Baby2Baby, a non-profit organization that has been working around the clock to get diapers, hygiene, formula and more into the hands of children living in poverty impacted by COVID-19.

Christian Siriano- His team is shifting from making gowns to making 600 masks a day.

Ralph Lauren- They have pledge $10 million to coronavirus relief efforts, the biggest donation by a luxury company thus far.  The grant will go to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, the Emergency Assistance Foundation, and its Pink Pony Fund, which supports a network of international cancer institutions.

H&M- The H&M Foundation donated $500,00 to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Kendra Scott- KS will donate 50% of the sale of its Everlyne bracelets to Feeding America and its efforts to provide “nutrition to the children that normally rely on the free National School Lunch programs.”

Gucci- The Italian label is providing 1,100,000 surgical masks and 55,000 medical overalls.

Prada- Prada S.p.A. is financing the ICUs of three new hospitals in Milan.  They have also reconfigured its factory in Perugia to produce 110,000 masks and 80,000 medical garments.

Nordstrom- They will create over 100,000 masks that will be distributed to Providence Health & Services.

LVMH- The luxury conglomerate which owns brans like Louis Vuitton, Guerlain, Dior, and Givenchy is doing its part to combat the coronavirus outbreak by using its perfume factories to manufacture hand sanitizer.

There is SO much fear in the world right now.  While it’s important to stay informed, I personally grasp on to as much positivity and good in the world right now.  Just doing my part to share the positive work within my industry.

with LOVE and grace,

Elizabeth
