Why I LOVE Round Top!

Everywhere I go people bring up Round Top to me.  I just started noticing that.  It’s kinda like how I just started noticing that everyone knows green is my favorite color.  I guess I’m a green loving kinda girl that always talks about Round Top.  Wink wink!

Since Round Top is one of my favorite little towns, I can talk about it for days.  So here I am bringing it back up and want to share why I love this little slice of Heaven.

  1. The People-You come across all walks of life in Round Top, but one thing they all have in common….they are down to earth!  These are my kind of people!  It must be because I’m from a small town I’m guessing.  I absolutely LOVE getting to know all the wonderful human beings that work so hard to create such a unique shopping experience in Round Top.  Over the years, I have really enjoyed getting to know these hard-working small business owners.  I feel like I’m going back every season to see my friends!  They are salt of the earth people that make the entire experience so lovely.

  2. Unique Finds-You can find unique pieces for miles and miles in Round Top.  Some of these “unique finds” are not for everyone and definitely they’re some that are not so unique.  However, if you are someone that knows how to shop then there are opportunities to find the coolest pieces for your closet, homes, office, barn/ranch and many other settings.  I love to share with people that Round Top is not just antiques.  In fact, I have found many modern pieces for my home.  There are certainly one of kinds antique pieces definitely filled with all kinds of stories.

  3. Wide Open Spaces-There is something about the drive to Round Top.  The Chicks song, “Wide Open Spaces” always pops into my head.  It’s definitely a peaceful drive for me that I’m usually singing to some kind of country song while staring at the open pastures filled with horses or cattle and taking in the blue skies.  When I actually get close to Round Top proper, I still enjoy the big open breaks in between the various shopping destinations.  It’s just all so beautiful to me!

  4. Quality Time-Whether I’m taking a group with EG Experiences or going with friends or family, it’s always quality time to get away with people I adore.  In this stage in my life, quality time is extremely cherished.  There is nothing better than a happy hour on a porch staring at the longhorns or coffee in our pjs on a front porch.  It fills my soul and I relish in every minute of it!!!

  5. Creatively Inspired-Any type of traveling always gets my creative juices flowing.  And traveling to Round Top amidst all kinds of creatives, gets my creative juices flowing on a different level.  Take the combo of The People + Unique Finds + Wide Open Spaces + Quality Time=Creative Inspiration on steroids!

I can describe Round Top and try to educate you on what the experience is like.  Until you experience it for yourself, it’s hard to understand.  If you are interested in checking it out for yourself, we are taking a group of 6-7 people this fall October 20-22, 2024.  You can get a little peek into what this experience is all about at @EG_experiences.  Email us at egexperiences@gmail.com to learn more.  We would absolutely LOVE to share this magical place with you!

with LOVE and grace,

Elizabeth
