Summer Essentials You’ll Want To Wear

As summer rolls in so do the HOT temps! And as we pack away our long sleeves and pull out the warmer wardrobe options we are often hit with the reminder that… for some, summer clothes are just not our favorite. Depending on where you live, the heat can be killer - and so can the thought of wearing short sleeves, or shorts, or other items of clothing you just aren’t comfortable in.

So here are some of those staple items you might NOT love and other staple items you can swap them out for:

Saying no to shorts TRY skirts or dresses - Shorts can be tricky, and for a lot just not desirable. They are hard to find the right fit and feel, let alone get a comfortable pair in. I love the flow of a skirt or dress during the summer. Not only is it a great alternative, but you can mix girly skirts with graphic tees, change up the style, and keep your fabrics light for a more breezy outfit!

Saying no to sleeveless TRY short sleeves - I hear arms as a problem area quite often in my work. Which makes sleeveless shirts not the most desirable piece of clothing. Especially in the summer when then adding a thick jacket on top is only going to make things unbearably warm! Finding some simple yet sleek short sleeve tees is a great way around this. You can find a loose option or something more for fitting if you prefer, either way - you are able to get the look you want and feel comfortable doing so!

Saying no to sandals TRY sneakers - This should be an easy transition nowadays! Some people simply don’t like sandals, and that is okay! But there are places where heels just aren’t the best (i.e. the beach!) Having an option like a good every day sneaker is perfect for going just about anywhere and can be used with more casual looks as well as dressier ones.

Hope this helps make moving into summer a bit less stressful, and more fun!

With LOVE and grace,
