SPRING STAPLE PIECES: THE DRESS

Okay, ladies lets chat about one of my favorite spring staple pieces: the dress! At this point, we don’t even have specify which “dress” we are talking about because all types are welcome here for spring. 

You have the usual suspects: the little black dress, the shift dress, and the wrap dress. So for the sake of this blog we will discuss these three types of dresses for casual days dresses, work dresses, and vacation dresses. 

Though I am not big on “following the trends” there are a few things to note for Spring 2019: hot bold colors are in (read neon orange and hot magenta), scarf prints are going far, and flowy with a touch of clavicle is something you might want to try. 

But how lucky is it that all the trends this year are so adaptable to really any style. 

You can incorporate each style and trend when dressing for spring/summer 2019. 

For Work I would style a really tailored beige dress with a large white oversized belt.

For Play I would love to do a scarf print shift dress with either shiny black leather loafers or a strappy heel, depending on how playful the occasion!

For a Casual day running errands I would do a bold magenta shirt dress with a pair of sneakers! (Pro tip: the more “women in” the sneaker looks, the better!!)

All of this goes to say this is my style mixed with what happens to be on trend right now, there is an infinite number of possibilities for summer dress trends that still stay true to your own personal unique style.
